Job Title: Sales Development Representative (SDR)
Department: Sales
Reports To: Sales Manager / Business Development Manager
Job Overview: We are looking for a motivated, energetic, and detail-oriented Sales Development Representative (SDR) to join our dynamic sales team. The SDR will be responsible for identifying and developing new business opportunities by reaching out to potential clients, understanding their needs, and setting up qualified sales meetings. The ideal candidate will be driven, have excellent communication skills, and be able to thrive in a fast-paced, goal-oriented environment.
Key Responsibilities:
Lead Generation: Conduct research to identify potential customers and decision-makers within targeted accounts.
Outbound Prospecting: Reach out to leads through cold calls, emails, social media, and other forms of outreach to generate interest and qualify leads.
Qualifying Leads: Understand potential customers’ needs and challenges, assess whether they are a fit for the company’s product/service, and qualify them for sales opportunities.
Appointment Setting: Schedule meetings or calls between potential customers and account executives or sales managers.
CRM Management: Maintain accurate records of prospecting activities and client interactions in the company’s CRM system (e.g., Salesforce, HubSpot).
Collaboration: Work closely with the sales and marketing teams to develop targeted outreach strategies and improve lead generation efforts.
Follow-Up: Continuously engage with leads through email, phone calls, or other communication channels to nurture relationships until they are ready to buy.
Market Research: Stay informed about industry trends, competitive offerings, and the needs of potential customers.
Required Skills and Qualifications:
Education: Bachelor’s degree in business, marketing, communications, or a related field.
Experience: 0-2 years of experience in sales, lead generation, or a customer-facing role (previous SDR experience is a plus).
Communication: Strong verbal and written communication skills.
Persistence: Ability to handle rejection and keep pushing forward with confidence.
Organization: Strong attention to detail and excellent time management skills.
Tech-Savvy: Familiarity with CRM systems (Salesforce, HubSpot) and other sales tools like LinkedIn Sales Navigator, Outreach.io, or ZoomInfo.
Adaptability: Ability to learn quickly and adapt to changes in sales processes and customer needs.
Motivation: Self-driven, goal-oriented, and motivated to achieve and exceed performance targets.
Preferred Qualifications:
Experience with cold calling or B2C and B2B sales outreach.
Prior knowledge of the industry or product/services being sold.
Demonstrated success in meeting or exceeding sales quotas.
